Project status: two-stage competition – finalist
The project of the new primary school considers the distribution of the functional program on four levels of equal area, in addition to the garage, to be contained in a sole five-faced prismatic volume. The building presents a vertex looking towards East which allows the best exposure to sunlight and an efficient use of the area for construction. In fact, the structure is oriented on the site in order to take the best advantage of the free resources available from the sun. On all the floors the rooms and the service spaces run on the West and East side of the building around a great central hall where some big loggias allow natural light to get through.
