The basic concept looks at a constant cultural hybridisation, an expression of the fluid contemporary way of living. The structure evokes a sense of common heritage through forms and spaces that convey a collective value in which memory identifies forms, spaces and materials. The project reinterprets the "scirocco chamber", a typical Mediterranean cave created to shelter from the scirocco, a hot African wind.
The project fragments a typical circular scirocco-chamber model into simple geometric elements. The decomposition and recomposition generate four volumes freely arranged on a grassy parterre, each defining an area of influence for different activities in complete fluidity and freedom of movement. Thanks to their geometry, the pavilions are deeply shaded throughout the day.
