The new boarding school establishes precise spatial relationships with its context and, at a wider scale, opens onto the landscape towards Monte Stelvio and the Val Monastero. A horizontal volume leans against the retaining wall along the north-east boundary and holds the difference in level between the uncultivated hillside and the ground plane of the plot. Crossing the site is a U-shaped volume positioned to establish immediate and simple connections with the bordering plots.
The ground floor houses the shared services of fitness room, canteen and study area. The two upper floors form a compact, separate block containing the lodgings, while the basement of the volume set against the retaining wall holds the stores for sports equipment and the garage. The fitness room faces the new park and opens onto Monte Stelvio through a large glazed wall whose transparency reveals the elite sports boarding school to the outside.
