The design idea regards the new educational hub not only as an articulated, innovative learning space, but as a genuine place of community, conceived to foster exchange and integration. The project provides for the new nursery school, the transformation of the primary school through operations on the existing building, and the addition of a new volume housing the agora, the auditorium and some laboratory spaces.
The nursery sections and the first two primary classes, on the ground floor, each enjoy direct access to the surrounding green space. The garden becomes the heart of the educational hub, equipped for outdoor play and teaching and around which the functions open to the community revolve: gymnasium, laboratories, auditorium. The proposal regularises the level of the garden to create a clear, recognisable place available to the local community.
