The church is located in Giardini Naxos, a coastal town on the slopes of Etna: symbol of creation. The design originated from the concept of creation understood as sedimentation, a natural founding act recognisable in the liturgical spaces as in the outdoor spaces. The whole project began from the altar, as the single centripetal fulcrum where all the sacraments take place, to then propagate, with a centrifugal force, towards the whole hall.

Everything refers to the underlying idea of sedimentation, enveloping the whole space with the same constitutive matter. The challenge lies in the power of the symbol to be epiphanic and evocative, transmitting the living process experienced within.
